We are all diamonds in the rough waiting for the Lord to shape us and polish us to resemble the brilliance of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus is pursuing us, and uses our pain and suffering to refine us to be more like Jesus and guide us towards the job the Lord has assigned us. This is a life long process in shaping and molding us to be similar to Christ. “For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made His light shine in our hearts to give us the light of of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 4:6. The light in us is His light, the in dwelling Christ, the Holy Spirit with us which shines through our attitudes, words, and deeds. When people see that our lives have been changed so that we have Jesus’ values and see the power of God at work in us, they will agree that we do have a great Savior to follow.
